There is always a stepping stone between art and delight. One rather needs to combine, let’s say, “business with pleasure” in order to form and to achieve the great image of wholeness. Thus Santorini, the island which the sun has gifted with its magic rays and different colors, has a special event for you to associate with your luxurious holidays: 2nd Santorini Biennale 2014.

The Biennale of Santorini was first conceived by Kikos Papadopoulos in 2003, but took place in 2012 for the first time, and has become one of the most inspiring events on the island ever since. Artists from different sectors of art gather on the island and exhibit their works, which are summed up to a special theme every year.

Art Installations, Ceramic Art, Collage Art, Comic Art, Drawing, Short Films, Glass Art, Graphic Design, Illustrations, Industrial Design, Paintings, Paper Art, Photography, Sculpture, Short Films, Video Art, and a Song Competition are held during the Biennale period.

In 2014, the theme of the event is the “Peace Mechanisms”, where the creators will try to represent how people can all live together in peace, how they can understand each other as well as they will artistically contribute to the dialogue about the harmony that the acceptance of differences induces.

The Santorini Biennale will take place between July 5th, 2014 and October 5th, 2014, and along with the exhibition there will be artists’ events and workshops.

This is obviously the best period for the island and for everyone who wishes to taste a bit of the ultimate beauty and indulgence of Santorini and Canaves Oia, the luxury hotel in Caldera. The hotel’s suites are waiting to cover the needs any demanding visitor may have, for it is a 5-star hotel in Santorini with special facilities and treats that constitute a dreamy experience. The luxury hotel in Santorini will be nevertheless the most suitable matching with your artistic concerns.
